How ClosingDay captures SMS consent.
This page mirrors the in-app opt-in disclosure shown to every ClosingDay user who chooses to receive text messages. It exists so anyone — including TCR campaign reviewers, mobile carriers, and customers — can verify our consent flow without having to create an account.

What every user reads before opting in.
The text below is shown verbatim on Settings → Notifications, directly above the SMS-notifications toggle. The toggle cannot be enabled without the user explicitly tapping it after this disclosure is presented.
SMS notifications from ClosingDay
By verifying your mobile number and enabling SMS notifications below, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages from ClosingDay sent through our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) to the number you provided.
Message types: (1) one-time verification codes during signup, sign-in, and sensitive-action confirmation; (2) transactional alerts about activity on your own deals — task deadline reminders, overdue task alerts, new offer notifications, new showing requests, buyer-agent feedback submissions, open-house visitor sign-ins. ClosingDay does not send marketing or promotional SMS.
Frequency: variable; typically 0–10 messages per day depending on activity in your active listings and transactions.
Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier plan. ClosingDay does not charge for SMS.
Opt-out: reply STOP to any ClosingDay SMS to immediately stop further sends to that number. You can also revoke consent at any time by disabling SMS notifications in Settings → Notifications. Opting out does not cancel your ClosingDay account.

Consent is not a condition of purchase or of using any other part of the ClosingDay service. Your mobile number and SMS opt-in status will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

HOW USERS OPT IN
Five explicit, reversible steps.
The consent capture is an affirmative, two-action sequence (verify number + enable toggle) — never a pre-checked box, never an implicit consent at signup, and never bundled with any other account setting.

Sign in to ClosingDay
Opt-in is only available to authenticated account holders — every licensed real-estate agent, transaction coordinator, or broker who has created a ClosingDay account at app.getclosingday.ai.

Open Settings → Notifications
In the app, navigate to Settings → Notifications. This screen is the single canonical place where SMS consent is captured. We do not pre-check the SMS toggle for any user, ever.

Verify your mobile number
Enter a U.S. mobile number. ClosingDay sends a 6-digit verification code via SMS; you enter it back to prove you control the number. Numbers cannot be added without successful code verification.

Read the disclosure, then enable SMS notifications
A consent disclosure card sits directly above the SMS-notifications toggle. The disclosure lists every CTIA-required element (program name, message categories, frequency, "Msg & data rates may apply", STOP/HELP, links to Privacy section 10 + Terms section 8). After reading it, the user explicitly enables the SMS-notifications toggle. This is a separate, affirmative action from verifying the number.

Receive only the messages opted into
Once both steps (verify number AND enable toggle) are completed, the user begins receiving transactional SMS as described below. Either step can be reversed at any time from the same Settings → Notifications screen, or by replying STOP to any message.

Four categories. All transactional.
These are the only message categories we send. ClosingDay does not send marketing, advertising, promotional, or third-party SMS — ever.

WHO DELIVERS YOUR SMS
Twilio is our only SMS provider.
Your mobile number is shared only with Twilio (our SMS delivery subprocessor) for the sole purpose of delivering the messages described above. Twilio is contractually prohibited from using the data for any other purpose. Twilio is listed in section 4 of our Privacy Policy.
